The duffles are packed, and the extra one with the school supplies, toilet paper, toothbrushes and clothes for donation weighed in just under the 50 pound limit. Persey is settled at camp with three new toys to keep her busy. We head for Chennai via Dulles, and Frankfurt tomorrow am. Looking forward to being a team member this trip, not a team leader. Marty & Jane, as well as Kathy, Linda, Keith and Tim will join the team as well. Not clear which projects we will be working on, maybe the orphanage, teaching school, or construction/rehab projects.
Funny, no matter how many times we pack up for a big international trip, I find myself with the usual anxieties: what have I forgotten? where is the passport? who's idea was this any way? What will the guest house be like? Will everyone get along?
